Another beautiful view from our apartment in Stalos village, overlooking Chania in the distance.
A view of the island of Agios Theodorou (St. Theodore) from one of the local taverns that we visited.
A day trip to Old Town Chania was a highlight of the week, with alleyways lined with small shops to satisfy visitors from near and far with all sorts of items.

A beautiful spot in Old Town Chania is the Old Port and Akti Kountourioti, where there are more shops and places to enjoy a "frappe metrio" while enjoying the view of the water.
Here are some pictures from Kissamos Beach, in Kolpos Kissamou (Kissamos Gulf) nestled between Crete's two longest, mountainous peninsulas, Geroskinos and Onihas, located on the northeastern part of the island. Click on the location link below to get a better idea of where this is.
One week is definitely not enough time to cover this beautiful island. We barely were able to scratch the surface with things to do and see here. But Chania and points east have beautiful sights that we highly recommend to those who decide to make a trip out to Europe, Greece or the Greek isles.
We have so much more to show from Crete. We will be heading back to Athens and (hopefully) provide more updates in the coming days, from Crete and the mainland. It will depend upon where we can get available Internet access. If we can't, then we will have to provide the updates when we return to the States. Until then, enjoy your summer, wherever you are located.
